Nothing on Tuesday launched its much-awaited second-generation flagship smartphone, Phone (2), starting at $599.
The dual SIM Phone (2) features a 6.7” full-HD+ LTPO OLED display and comes with a 2412 x 1080 pixel resolution at 394 ppi. It has an adaptive refresh rate that can range between 1Hz and 120Hz, a 240Hz touch sampling rate, and 1600 nits peak pixel brightness, along with HDR10+ & SGS Low Blue Light certifications.
As far as design is concerned, the smartphone has a gently curved pillowed glass back, 100% recycled aluminum mid-frame, buttons, and sim tray tip, higher-resolution textures, and refined components.
Nothing also made some improvements to its Glyph interface in Phone (2), with the rear side now laced with more LEDs that promise to offer more customization options and functionality, as well as third-party customization.
Further, Phone (2) is powered by Qualcomm’s 4nm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC with an Adreno 730 GPU, which is an 80% improvement in performance over its predecessor. It offers up to 12GB RAM and 512GB of internal storage.
The smartphone will operate on NothingOS 2.0, based on the Android 13 operating system, and also feature a new monochrome layout as well as the option to remove the app label. It measures 162.1 mm x 76.4 mm x 8.6 mm and weighs 201.2 grams.
On the camera front, the Phone(2) sports a dual-camera setup with a main 50MP primary camera with an f/1.88 aperture and optical image stabilisation (OIS), and electronic image stabilisation (EIS). Nothing says the camera on the Phone (2) comes with 2X Super-Res Zoom, Motion Capture 2.0, and supported video modes, which include 4K at 60fps, 1080p at 30 or 60fps, and live HDR at 4K and 30fps. The device can also record videos in slow motion at 480fps and time-lapse videos at 4K resolution.
